Managing orders in Shopify

    How are people managing Shopify orders? I'm finding the native fields aren't enough for me to keep track of things effectively. I need to be able to log things such as 'deposit paid', 'remainder paid', 'courier', 'supplier ref', 'shipping date'. Using tags is no good.

    Is there anything that allows custom fields to be added?

    I'm having to run a spreadsheet alongside to store the extra data and it's messy and duplicating work.

    From the Shopify API, you can pull the SKU details and feed a spread sheet by scripting your sheet. I find google app scripting to be quite friendly for this purpose.

    If the management data of your warehouse if more complex, you could setup a parallel admin program to manage the life cycle of the SKU.

    Have you tried using Hubspot? They have free account options which may allow you to set up pipelines for Shopify orders as well as managing contacts etc.
