    Hi

Me and my friend have set up a manufacturing company about 10 years ago, we bought the property freehold and traded successfully through a Ltd company, however over the last few years he has restricted my access and rundown the business, including letting his brother in law to trade from the premises and take on the contracts we had. As the brother in law is now in occupation, ( I havent received any rent ) will he be able to claim security of tenure or will courts take everything into consideration ?

Also as we both own the freehold, if a lease is requested, can I oppose on the ground that I want to run a business from the premises? Or do both landlords need to agree this ?

We own it individually as tenants in common

I suspect you are best taking this to a lawyer.
