We are looking to meet up with any business start ups.

We are also a new start up and would be good to have a chat with others in the same position.

    Why not attend BNI meetings?

The website meetup can be good for this kind of thing.

Looking for workshops relevant to your interests too even if you already know what they offer. Don't know about there but my local library runs some business workshops.

Also looking for co-working spaces can be handy for this.

We were in BNI for a bit. It is what it is.....

Can you get up at 6am once a week to get to the meeting? It's difficult in the winter.......

It doesn't necessarily work how it is supposed to. You are supposed to refer your contacts to other people. Sometimes ends up people just buying from people in the room.

I think how it works well is if there is synergy between some of the businesses.

Can you stand the rules and politics?!

No harm in going along a couple of times. Some people love it, some people hate it.........

If I discover that somebody is in the BNI or similar outfit and is therefore indulging in behind-the-curtain business practices, I avoid them at all costs.
