Hi, I have a login for companies house web filing. I wanted to find out if I could change my limited company name through the web filing login?

    Thank you.

Sorry, I figured it out, I found the link.

I also just saw your replies, so thank you guys.

While we are on the subject, I am looking to change the name of a limited company which is about 2 years old, because I am making a major change in direction. Are there any downsides to doing this vs registering a new company?

I am hoping with an existing company, I won't have to set up new bank accounts, and a few other things, I can just change the name on the accounts.

The existing company doesn't have a bad record, it just wasn't making money, and it doesn't have any debt.

    Any pro's or con's?

You can have a separate trading name for the company if you want. You don't have to change to registered company name.

You can have for example XYZ Ltd trading as '3 More Years'
