I am about to make an offer on a new business venture.

I have just used my old solicitors to do the sale of my last two and due to a change in personnel they were frankly useless.

are there any conveyancers on here?

does anyone have any good lawyers they can recommend?

Property/business is normally not dealt with by a conveyancing solicitor but a commercial lawyer. We deal with assignments of leases, sales of businesses and mergers but all of the conveyancing work is done by our Mr Valentine Duggins who deals only with the conveyancing part and does not touch the commercial aspects.

I know someone who was burnt because the business name was registered as trade mark in the owner's name personally and not in the name of the company - the purchaser bought the company, thought the name automatically came with it and it didn't, nobody thought to check, and litigation had to be started to try to recover the name.

I have used a commercial Lawyer in Salisbury, and found him excellent.
He works by himself to give a really personal service without a lot of overheads, has years of experience, and is a businessman himself.

I wouldn't use anyone else now!
