    Hi

Looking to set up a lead generation website and want to sell the leads that come into companies.

Just want to check what legal terms I need to have on the website to notify anyone who fills out a contact form that their details will be sold to 3rd parties.

Is it as simple as adding a tick box when they send form saying they agree to terms with a link to the terms and in the terms it states this?

lots of sites doing it but want to make sure before get the ball rolling

    Any help would be great

There is a change in legislation pending regarding this and I believe it comes under The Data Protection Act (good luck if you want to wade through it :) ).
    You need specialist advice.

Yes the Government is cracking down further on this area. At the moment I think you must check if the individual or business is listing on the telephone preference service. If they are and you call them from memory there is a £5K fine.
