Inference is entirely different from quotation.

Inferring: Deduce or conclude (information) from evidence and reasoning rather than from explicit statements.

Quotation: To repeat or copy the words of (another), usually with acknowledgment of the source

    Ok,
So what exactly is the success rate of these cold caller/tele sales?

Some on here seem to be banging on about how wonderful they are at it. so come on, tell us the figures to show us sceptics we are wrong.

Any who call me now get the the two word reply. Certainly seems to stop repeat calls.

And for the record, i too support Sax, but then i know him and don't have to hide behind my keyboard.

Your asking how long is a piece of string, dependent on sector, industry, competition, area, saturation and the list goes on

come come. Some stats must exist, certainly if you're an organised company. Is it 2%, 4% or if on a roll 10% - and if you say 10%, i don't believe you.

And Ive offered that you contact my clients Sax, get it from the horses mouth, not sure how much more accommodating I can be? A simple spreadsheet, Im afraid will not cut across the whole of the UK industry with regards to telesales, thats really naive

so you did - I assume you mean the associates listed on your website,

so how about the stats I asked for yesterday (or was it the day before)

call time duration should be a good indicator of how succesful the idea is.

    Stats on what?

    Advertising sales
    Appointment setting
    Delegate sales
    PAT Testing
    Fruit at home selling
    Luxury travel selling
    Stationary

There not all going to be the same

    So no stats then?
In absence of any evidence, i can only assume it's based on the old adage - throw enough sh*t at the wall and hope some of it sticks.

The two word response works for me and shows my contempt for those who sell this way.

well seen as were talking about the ineffectiveness of telesales - what do you think?

nice and simple - call duration will suffice.

I'd like to know on average how many calls you have to make before one person parts with any money, even if it is only £1.

It would seem that way. But then, it is only basic stuff all companies should know and practice...isn't it?

What industry are you referring to LTT - we can't just group the whole bloody lot together. What, comms, advertising, travel, media, construction, retail, BTC BTB - you have to be more specific
