Good Afternoon,

Hope all is well.

I was wondering if any of you could point me in the right direction for a few Joomla extensions that may be out there.

I am aware of the Joomla forum but i find it takes a lot longer to get he avice you require on there.

1)
I have seen on some sites, a very small tab on the left hand side of the screen that will say "Contact us" and one u click that tab a contact form appears ontop of the current page that is being used???

2) a form where i can type questions out with various ticky box answers and the results of those questions are sent to my email address?

3)Integration with Twitter. Showing my previous tweets etc ?

Any recomendation appreciated.

You should find everything you need here:

http : // extensions.joomla.org

Navigate through the categories on the left of the page.

What you want is (obviously) under "Contacts & Feedback" and "Social Web".

If you haven't already done so, I suggest setting up a Joomla! test site on your own computer to try out extensions. I also recommend uninstalling an extension if you find that you don't like it. Some of them have similar names and it can get confusing if you leave them all installed when trying new ones.

Creating a local install of Joomla is easy if you follow the steps in the "Joomla! v 1.5 Quick Start Guide" written by Kevin Hayne.

Hi!

With regards to the first question, the truth is, I'm not entirely sure what the extension is called that does that. I have seen it, I'll take a look and get back to you.

Secondly, there is an extension called Chrono Forms which allows you to design you own forms in the backend and define where you'd like the results emailed.

Finally, there are several extensions available which integrates with Twitter, I've used one in the past which was very simple to configure... just can't remember the name!

I'll be back with more information.

As pointed above there's the great Joomla extensions directory where you're likely to find anything you've ever dreamed of in terms of Joomla extensions.

To kick start your search a bit I have a recommendation for the form extension. You might want to try CKForms. We've used that on quite a number of sites we've developed and it works great.
