I had exactly the same thought the other day when I read the nonsense post with someone asking if they were doing the right thing jacking in crappy jobs as they thought they could do better. It was bloody obvious from the way they wrote that they were destined to be a cleaner for the rest of their life, even though they claimed to have a university education.

The only reasonable explanation for threads like that one is that someone is trying to stimulate posting, or otherwise make the forum seem busier than it is.

I don't think the department for work and pensions would be interested. ;)

You get some posts that look as though the titles are specifically written for search engines.

You could understand this if it was the poster being a bit crafty, but you get some where they look like this, but the original poster doesn't appear to benefit from doing it.

It gives the impression the poster is planting the posts.

Sorry, but people really are that daft.

People mostly ask for advice, but only want to hear the answers that they want to hear.

Q: I got this great business idea.
    A1: The idea sucks.
A2: That is a really bad idea!
A3: That has to be the worst idea ever!
A4: Go ahead - you can do it!
Q: Geez - thanks. I will do just that!

Q: What do you all think of my website?
    A1: It sucks.
A2: That is a really bad website!
A3: That website does not load on a mobile!
    A4: What a great website!
Q: Geez - thanks. I'll keep it as it is!

I mean, this seems about right. If we were paying people, I'd at least expect some decent grammar and better jokes :p

Or maybe I'm paying writers just to rile you lot up.. threads all in caps lock? Suitably vague? OP never returns or they reply back immediately to tell you you're all wrong?

You are [a-certain-person-from-a-certain-admin-services] and I claim my £5.

    Either that, or you're prescient.

You have to pay people to do that?
Some forums people will do it for free. :)
