Hi all
I am in the process of starting up a Virtual Assistant business. I have a business mentor who had brought up these few questions. I am researching into this online myself but sometimes a different set of eyes can spot something that I would miss.
I would be grateful if anyone could provide any advice, recommendations, comments on the following.
1. Indemnity insurance - Do I need it? We were thinking that although my accuracy is of a high standard there is still the possibility that a mistake may slip through the net. Would it be worth me taking out indemnity insurance to protect against this? Does anyone have any companies that they would recommend for this?
2. Time verification - I will be working remotely for my clients and wondered if there was any software out there that I could utilise to show clients exactly how long a task is taking me. Or would it be a waste of time to even try?
3. Clients - I have a couple of clients that I have gained through my website but obviously for the business to survive I need more than that. I also know that just having a website doesn't mean it's going to get looked at and convert browsers into clients. I am going to be attending some local networking events and there is the possibility of sending out introduction letters to businesses. Do you have any other ideas on how to get my name in the minds of businesses who may need their administration/secretarial work doing?
I look forward to reading any comments anyone has on either of these questions.
