It probably depends on the cafe.
There is a cafe near us that does breakfasts that mostly come with avocado, they charge about £8 for some avocado, egg and toast or about £12 for a full english.

There are other cafes that would never have seen an avocado and charge 50p for a cup of tea to all the old dears or maybe £6 for a full English.

It is difficult to answer your question as there are loads of variables - type of cafe, whree the cafe will be, who the customers will be, do you expect to be busy every day or just on certain days (ie market days, weekdays or weekends). You need to do a bit of market research really. Go and find some cafes you plan on opening, sit in there, get an idea of turnover and what people are buying.

As in any small business the devil is in the details.
Common for limited companies with the owner working for a small wage only bring taken by owner / no wage by owner and dividends being used to top up income.
So officially may show £20k profit for the business but actually that being the owners wages.
So really that example, buying a job that pays £20k a year.

One of the better cafés I used to use had probably a half dozen staff at any one time on shift, the owner worked as one of the wait staff and the food was decent. Not cheap prices but the place tended to be busy - and moved to a larger location within a few years.

The only way to get any kind of concrete information about this is to either speak to somebody who runs a cafe very similar to the one you're thinking of or talk to an accountant who can run you through some outline costings. There isn't really any such thing as average earnings for something like that. Sorry I can't be more helpful!

Like many of the other posts say it is impossible to answer your question, there are so many variables.
The key to making money in a cafe is turnover. All your sales are relatively small sales so you need to make a lot of them. Don't underestimate how many people you have to get through your door each day to make money.
