Anyone advise me?- What is the easiest and cheapest way to import 100kg weight from India-(Jaipur) All the couriers seems expensive and my seller has advised me I need to be registered (does this mean VAT) registered and need a trade import number ( what is this and where can I get one?). I have contacted a freight forwarder so I'm hoping this will work out! I don't know if it makes any difference to the seller if he is just sending his goods to someone for private use or to someone where goods are resold..presumably it does for VAT here. Any advice welcomed TKS.
It would make sense to use a freight fowarder if you've never done this before so they can deal with the paperwork, but do expect to pay VAT, import duties and other charges. If you're not in a hurry, sea freight is bound to be cheaper.
