    Hi guys,

my shipments are usually DDP all taxes and duties paid but this particular supplier do not offer this. The order isn't a large one either (around £1000 GBP).

Should I just let them despatch it then presume ile be charged 20% + 3% duty I think it says on the website when it hits the UK customs/border?

How does your supplier propose to ship the goods, by Air, Sea or Train?

What's the weight and dimensions of each carton?

Check they are offering delivery to your door (ex taxes) and not CIF to port. If the latter you could end up paying hefty port charges on arrival in addition to import taxes - especially if shipping by sea.
Also remember the duty is charged on cost of goods plus cost of shipping plus insurance - and VAT is charged on all of the above plus the duty!
