.......is it down right now????

My websites hosted on hihosting are showing as down. So.....I though I'd better check them out on isitdown.....which appears to be down itself!

Am I going crazy?

Hey,

Can you try ping the domain (if you have a MAC, then it's via terminal) or command promt via Windows doing the following: ping shebythesea.co.uk and see if you get a response back?

If nothing falls back, it could be possible you are blocked by the firewall. Contact support and see what they say, meanwhile you can always check if your site's up or not via a proxy site or just pinging it.

Any further questions, happy to guide :)

I wonder why I'd be blocked. Everything was fine yesterday as I was in my cpanel changing passwords as I do every now & again.
That's almost certainly the problem. You have just locked yourself out.

Raise a support ticket and get your IP address unblocked.

Thanks so much for your help Speedy. I really appreciate it :):)

Ha, no worries. It's a common thing to have server level to ensure security on a server, so if you've added a incorrect password or email connections with wrong passwords being triggered, the server's firewall after a limit rate will ban the IP unless manually removed by the hosting company. It's normal ;)
