I am looking to set up an ice cream parlour on a busy high street area. It get's a lot of footfall, especially in the summer.

Aside from lease costs, how much do you think it would cost to set it up? I know it would all depend on size of the property, but I'm only looking at a ballpark figure. Can anyone help?

Equipment?
Insurance?
Electricity?
Ingredients?
Point of sale?
Signage?
Staff?

Plus many more things I can't think of right now. List them all and work out a cost.

License is the key here. You can't open a parlour on the street like this (otherwise everyone would do it!).

Start by talking to your local council, they might be able to tell you what is possible. No license, no parlour.

£50,000, I was tempted to say £5o,492.24p. But http://www.dairyscience.info/index.php/ice-cream/218-ice-cream-startup.html
