My homepage has been Google for years and if I click on the home icon it has always come up with the page as expected.

Recently when I want my home page it takes me to the right page but there are a string of numbers after the .co.uk bit such as https://www.google.co.uk/?gws_rd=ssl#spf=1568020010930

Every time I visit Google the numbers change.

Any ideas what this means please

Please can you take a screenshot of exactly what you're looking at Ian?

After the base domain, if the next character after the / is a question mark, it is just query parameters or additional configuration.

SPF is Sender Policy Framework and you can add this record to a domain to prevent email spoofing as it helps recipients know where emails from your domain should be coming from.

That's a google web server redirecting you to their https site. Should disappear if you change your bookmark to https
