HELP REQUIRED, account closed. CHANGE OF COMPANY POLICY

Hello, can anyone help me with legal aspects. i was a wholesaler with a big name company for many years, no problems at all, until i was told to stop using there images on ebay, this i did for a few weeks, until i realised they were targeting only me, other wholesalers were still using the images on ebay, i put this forward to the company many times, to no avail, no reply's at all regarding the matter. assuming it was okay for them to use the images, i continued using the images, and continued selling there products.i then received a letter stating i was allowed to use there images on my business website , but not on ebay. However recently i received a phonecall, to state "this were there words , "i was abusing it ", i tried to explain other users were still using there images, but basically they did not want to hear or listen , and they were going to close my account, i said i did not want that, and i told them i would remove the images immediately, i therefore immediately withdrew all images from the ebay site. next day came, another phonecall came, to say they were closing my account, again very abrupt, i said why, when i have done what you required, and removed the images, again very abrupt, did not want to hear nothing from me, we will close your account due to "change in company policy" when i tried to speak and say what is the company policy, they said they did not need to go into that. they closed my account, no letter oF thanks for the many years of servIce, , no warning nothing, which has resulted in me losing customer orders which i had, and i also lost money to ebay as i have to cancel all listings.


surely the way they have gone about this matter is not correct or very professional. far enough, i did wrong, but because they were allowing others to do it, i have all copies of emails i sent, along with orders, in which were processed, but no reply to the actual emails about other users using there images.


i think i really i should at least has some sort of letter, or even a weeks notice , so least i could of stopped taking orders for the company,

as of today other users are still using there images, so not a change in company policy for them. ???

PLEASE, any advice, what are your views etc, any help, thanks

with them? This may take the form of invoices, emails, letters or a more formal written agreement. I suggest you let me know and if possible send over some of the information and I will look into it for you free of charge.

This has a very little to do with their arrangements with other suppliers and everything to do with you joint business relationship. Notice periods are normally dealt with in terms and conditions so without the above it will be a case of proving a long term business relationship and looking at what further action you can take.

I posted a reply to this thread in the General forum - I just noticed it here too so I'm re-posting my comments and deleting the other thread.

My view is that you're in the wrong and they are in the right. If you try to look at it objectively I'm sure you'll agree.

I'd have thought the agreement you have with them covers termination and is heavily weighted in their favour.

I'd move on and not waste any more energy on it.

Hi, the thing is, i have no agreement, okay i was in the wrong, but i did not like the way they have closed my account, surely a letter of some sort, etc, a even a letter with a change of company policy .
