Hello forum,
i need some advice, myself and a couple of friends have in association with a local charity opened a local community gym in our area as part of a regeneration initiative privately self funded. The charity is the 'umbrella' if you like we run under and donations are made to this charity on a monthly basis.
The setup runs as a business offering *very* competitive membership fees to encourage families/people on lower incomes, unemployed citizens etc, to join up and improve their health. Response has been very good over the last six months.
Within the gym we sell the usual paraphernalia of sports drinks, protein drinks, bars/snacks along with training aids, boxing equipment etc. What i would like to know is that is a special or specific trading license needed to sell these items from the gym?
Also we are thinking of introducing a hot grill in the gym to sell healthy grilled foods (we have a bit of a Jamie Oliver amongst us) along with a sideline selling low cost leisure clothing and toiletries.
Therefore is a special or specific trading license needed to sell these additional items and is a license also required in preparing food from the Gym premises?
