When a poster is using several threads to promote themselves, or spam or spout rubbish, what do mods suggest as best practice? Report one of the posts once? Report them all?

    Hi Graeme,

If the user's posting in quick succession, it's easier if you just send in one report but make use of the comment box. If you've seen a user making self promotional posts (or breaking our rules in another way) in a number of different threads, just mention it in the comment - while we'll usually have a look through users' other recent posts when dealing with reports, it does give us an idea of how much time to set aside.

If the offending posts are relatively far apart - say, they posted an advert in a thread, made four or five other posts that were fine, then posted another advert - it's easier if you report the posts separately, as we might not catch the older one otherwise.

If it's spam, then definitely one report will suffice - once we've marked a user as spam, it'll automatically remove everything else they've done.

That's what I deem to be best practice, but other mods feel free to pitch in a different opinion :)
Otherwise, I hope that makes sense and thanks for helping to make UKBF a less spammy place to be!
