I run a very small business, but the UK market is crowded, so most of my product sells overseas, via Amazon to Germany and France. This is great, but I'm wanting to expand into these markets more, ebay. Fr and. De could really improve my sales, but I'm not sure about what to do, I could set up accounts for those sites but potential customers would still have a wait of 2 weeks to receive the items, which isn't ideal. What I think I need is some small time(id anticipate 30-50 units a week selling at around £14 each) importer to resell for me, do you agree? If so does anyone know how id reach out and find the person for the job? Thank you very much for any advice, Mark.

What sort of product? Is it unique to you? Can you easily identify the type of businesses that would buy it?

It's a unique niche product, a small business may be interested that is in the same niche.

Who are you shipping with? 2 weeks lead time doesn't make sense even for a budget carrier to France or Germany.

Because I sell to the end user they go with royal mail, airmail, small parcels, the quoted time is around 6 days, but I find it really optimistic, ten to 14 seems the norm.

From UK typically Germany delivery is within 6 days based on buyer feedback.
France between 4 days and 4 weeks using same method.

To cut down on shipping time store stock in the relevant countries using a fulfilment service. However you will need to immediately register for VAT in each country you store stock in outside your own.

Cheaper than selling to an importer to resell.

Ten to 14 days delivery does not sound right at all. We have a German branch and our timings are for the UK to Germany Royal Mail 7-10 days, UPS 1-2 days, Parcelforce or Businesspost ca. 3 days.

Excellent advice from Mr D. A fulfilment company in Europe holding stock for you will give you the solution you're looking for.

As it is an easy niche to identify why not load your car with product and do a sales trip around Europe.
