Hi everyone, just after a bit of advice, im trying to think of a free gift to give away for anyone who gets a quote (for a new boiler), i know co alarms is teh obvious and even though i can get them for £11 its a bit too much for a free gift, any ideas?

I would not bother, just make sure your price (in a like for like) with your competitors cannot be beaten.

To me, (and I could be wrong) offering freebies, comes across as a bit desperate, and touting for trade.

Good Luck

Are you not better to offer free servicing for a couple of years if they choose to sign up?.

There's a sweetener that won't cost you anything when you quote but might help bring in some business.

You could also check their other appliances for free.!.... but after the boiler is installed obviously.

I wouldn't offer a free gift upfront unless it is digital (web) or no money out of my pocket.

As suggested before, offering a free gift after the work has been completed can be a nice surprise.

I would focus on the service I would deliver and how my service can be better than any other competitor. It doesn't come down to lowering your prices. You just need to be competitive and do a simple survey of your existing customers and see what they enjoyed about your service or what they would have liked. Then use their responses to better your business in every aspect.
