If you want to purchase foreign equity (<20% ownership) in a company what advantages are buying it with your uk limited company (to be owned by the co) vs buying it with your own personal cash to be allocated personally.

why are you buying the equity? Is it an investment or does it help your business?

I'm wondering if I invest as a company it could benefit me by:

Reducing my tax burden by receiving dividends as profit - 18% corp tax
Increase the prestige of the Co I'm investing in by having a uk company as investor
Protect me more due to the investing co being LTD

I would get your accountant to advise you on the tax advantages.
