I spotted my local team has been put up for sale, and can't help but think what an opportunity this could be if I had the money!
Currently playing in the Blue Square Premier league, in 3rd position, Mansfield Town are big fish in a small pond, and are looking good to be in contention to return to the football league.
If promotion was achieved the value of this full time club would go up massively, as there are several payments related to being promoted and and being a member of the football league.
It has been said that the club has the potential to get all the way to the Championship, having been drained by a previous owner, who ran the club down. The team play in a 10,000 all seater stadium, which has also recently hosted the X Factor tour and Westlife this year. The ground can be bought with the club or leased.
