Anybody else frustrated by the fb ads manager?

Location tar-getting has always been a pain. For example we do postcode areas.

We would like to select 1 postcode area example NR - Cover the whole of the NR postcode area, But FB does not allow you to do this.

Neither it seems can you just type in NR1, NR2, NR3

Grrrrrr. So am I missing a trick or do I need to knuckle further down and get hold of an extensive postcode list and plug it in? Any recommendations on buying the postcode data?

    Thanks guys

@mattk - I followed the links and notice it only gives the NR1, NR2 etc etc

I don't think FB accepts that does it, it tends to want even more info ie.

    NR1 1
    NR1 2
    NR1 3

    Which wiki does not provide..

Facebook is particularly annoying, as it recognises most, but not all more granular postcodes! You're right in that its much more difficult to target like this than in say Google Ads...

We've often done this for Facebook targeting and ecommerce delivery setup (which doesn't need to be quite as granular) and haven't come across a one size solution, we use two sites data to do this; these are: -
    1. GBMaps.com for map data and main postcode areas: https://www.gbmaps.com/4-digit-postcode-maps/nr-norwich-postcode-map.html
    2. Checkmypostcode.uk for granular area and street level detailed data: https://checkmypostcode.uk/norfolk/norwich#.XzfDfCjdsuU
The detail you need for Facebook ads still needs a bit of a work from point 2; we copy the list into a spreadsheet & tidy the data so you've only got NR1 1 then filter out duplicates so you end up with a unique list to upload as required for targeting etc.

Have you tried using fb power editor ? We create hundreds of ads on daily basis and without power editor it is a pain in the arse...

Is this any good for you?

    https://www.uksmallbusinessdirectory.co.uk/post-codes-3/NR1/

Some may be a little strange because it's how people enter them

I can adapt it if you like?
