FaceBook - need a tiny bit of help

Having set up my business FB page theres one feature that I'm a bit confused about.

As I understand it, the business page has a facility to accept comments on posts I've made on my wall. So on the basis that I'm leaving my FB pages public for all to see, whats stopping idiots posting spurious comments against my posts? There doesnt seem to be a edit or delete comments button that I can use??

So I'm guessing theres two choices re. the above - 1) make the page private ie for friends only 2) disable comments facility. It would be a shame to disable comments as I'm sure the majority of comments would be useful. I guess the third option is to leave the page public, leave comments enabled and deal with them as best I can

Why oh why is there not an edit button for posts??? You put together a post and load it then want to change it but er can't

There is.

'Hover' over the post in question and a little 'x' will appear. 'Hover' over that and you will be given the option to remove it.

thanks Dotty, did you mean hover over "a comment" ? If I hover over my post, theres no x just a tab to remove it..

I'm not so sure, maybe. I've bought cards from you before though, so there's a slim possibility you recognise the business name. I say 'slim' but I'd have thought close to zero really as I'm sure you masses of customers

I was asking as I'm looking possibly at getting some more cards soon, in a different style, and wanted to know if there were any decent deals coming up soon?

I noticed your UKBF offer in another section here but it's only as good as I'd have normally expected (and waited for) from Goodprint The last really good offer was in July/August, I think ....60% off business cards ....including off all the extras like finish etc.

Anything close to that coming in the near future?

I think I was getting confused with Andrew W on here!

Offers over 50% don't go out very often, otherwise they stop becoming cost effectiveas people wouldn't ever order with anything less.

60% off including finishing is pretty damn generous, we rarely do anything that big - 50% off everything goes out sometimes though. It's all done by an outside marketing company, so I don't know exactly what's coming up in the next month. We do a competition once a week-ish on Facebook giving away 100 free cards though - doing one this evening in fact.

You can set you Facebook wall so that only people who "like" the page can leave comments. If a person leaves derogatory or inflammatory comments I just delete the comment and delete the person from the page
