EU VAT

I am over the threshold of several countries, it is taking far longer to register for EU VAT than I had expected. In the meantime my accountant filed all my EU sales to the UK, was this the right thing to do?

I think once registered I will have to pay what I owe to each country but since this has been paid to HMRC will they actually return the EU VAT I have paid?

 

I would do a correction on the next VAT return if any VAT was paid twice.
