Email service, pay per use?

Hey peeps

I need to get an email service that allows me to send mass mail on a pay per use. I do not need something like "get response" but I need to be able to import the names and emails (all opt in) and send bulk emails when I need (possibly once a month).

If anyone uses such a service please let me know.

Thanks

Matt

We use MailChimp (note: referral link) to send out newsletters and other mailshots on a monthly basis, ourselves - and for several projects and clients. You can import a list of names from CSV, XLS, via copy/paste, etc - and send a simple email or build a more complicated template as you choose.

You can either subscribe on a monthly basis or by pay-as-you-go credits (upto 500 in a list, with a sending limit per month is free) - so it sounds like what you want frmo the price POV?

Hi Matt

Like matt.chatterley we also sing Mailchimp's praises and use it on a regular basis for our own mailing lists (also administer client accounts). We love it as it gives loads of stats (we're geeky that way) such as the number of deliverable emails, unsubscribers, open rate, which links were clicked on etc

Though these systems are great, they don't address the biggest issues ...time and thought.

In our experience, no matter how capable you are and no matter how well intentioned (ie. say to do this each month), other priorities will always take over - (see www.2ndimpression.co.uk/diy.htm)

It's one of those things that, unlike the normal saying, 'If you want a job doing well, DON'T do it yourself!'

If you want it done and done properly, get a professional.

    Regards

    Mike
