DS01 filed - Strike off in progress - What now?

Hi,

As title my company is being struck and I have had the confirmation from Companies House that they will soon be providing the date of the publication of company strike off in the London Gazette.

All my account files are up to date and I have zero funds or assets in the company, but I did set up the company with 2 shares worth £1 each (I have to check these details when I go home).

They are not the type of shares that prohibit strike off (I can't remember the name for those).

I have not operated the company since December 2015.

Again, I will need to check when I get home, but I believe my schedule for filing accounts is sometime in August which is just around the corner.

Will I have to file anything further before strike off?

If Companies House have accepted your DS01 then they won't expect anything else from the company prior to it being struck off.

I would also recommend you to write to HMRC and let them know. I have seen cases where companies where struck off and HMRC still issued penalties, etc. Have you filed what you had to file with HMRC too?
