The annual return will be sent to you a little while before it is due, and will need to be made up to a date one year after Incorporation.

Dormant company accounts will need to be drawn up to the Accounting Reference Date (ARD) - which, by default, will be one year on from the end of the month in which the company was incorporated. You can however amend the ARD. Accounts must be filed within 10 months of the ARD. As there is a penalty for late filing of accounts, it obviously makes sense to file the Dormant Company Accounts (DCA) form as soon as possible after the ARD so that it does not get overlooked.
