I have 3 domains that I want to sell. It just dawned on me about selling them on ebay...

They are what you would call 2 word premium domains and they cost me a substantial sum to purchase. But now the money is more important to me.. and I need to off load

Has anybody used ebay with any success or what you say sedo?

    Thanks for comments

I dont think people who are serious about domains go to buy them on eBay. Domain marketplaces have domain buyers.

Domains are worth a lot less these days. Even less if there isn't a ranking website attached.

I'm not sure if that's valid. Nowadays it's very hard to find good 5-word or lower brandable (com) domains and a lot of them cost 4-figure sums. Two word domains though i would not buy for a lot of money.

I've used Godaddy auctions and Flippa to buy domains although I've never sold any myself.

Thinking about it...I really should get rid of some!!

    Forget ebay.....

"Acorn Domains" and "Domain Lore" are the best place to sell them

Acorn is a forum for people who buy and sell domains wholesale, you generally wouldn't get a 'retail' price there. Depends if you want a quick easy sale or want to try and sell it retail. Sedo is another place you could potentially use.

Domains are one of those things that are worth as much as someone is willing to pay!

I think the ship has sailed on reselling domain names. There are now so may top-level domains (over 1,500 from memory) that there really isn't the demand for dictionary word domains like there was when it was just .com and .co.uk.

Couple this with the fact that so many companies focus on promoting their social media presence, often ahead of their web site.

Have you considered building a site for the domains and trying to create a passive income?

I have seen flippa before and did not rate it.

I was reading some threads last week on a guy who had some amazing domains. the guy was just discounting and discounting and we are talking premium 1 word domains.

I do have a website on there and it does generate leads. I have spent a few pretty pennies on it though and would not sell below what its cost me. talking around 15k

in the home improvements sector and 15k to them boy is pennies. I know I just came out of it :D

Unless you have decent (brandable) domain names, they are worthless. Domain name is a very weak ranking signal now in Google's algorithm. So people won't buy until it is already hosting a website and have decent traffic.

I've dumped most of my domain , including some 5 letter .com as not worth the listing fees ...
