Does anyone know of a decent accountant for a startup in Surrey?

Looking for a decent, but cheap-ish accountant in Surrey, preferably close to Guildford.

What do the terms 'decent' and 'cheap-ish' mean to you? The two terms pull in opposite directions. You'll get more of one and less of the other.

I can't remember exactly where they're at, but the guy I spoke with from there was a sharp cookie and very reasonable for services. In fact, they've been active here (and may still be).

They're Brighton / London according to their website - not particularly near Guildford.

Sorry about that - I always dealt with them regarding their online portal so I never had to meet in person. I hope you do find what you're looking for :) Good accountants that are close and affordable are not always an easy find!

Does it really have to be that close?

My accountant is in Ilford which is quite a way from The Midlands but the telephone and email systems work quite efficiently :D

I think that she is excellent and am quite happy to pass on her details to you

I'd agree with Ian on this - of course, 'I would say that'! Also, video conferencing & 'meet-me' type services make proximity much less of an issue than it was.
