    Hello,

As I'm sure you've seen, we have a number of UKBF members that write articles for the site. Since the start of the year, this section has become increasingly popular and we're looking for additional contributors.

Here are a few examples of articles written by members that have been really well engaged:

How to move your business website from HTTP to HTTPS - @justinaldridge
The definitive business website checklist - @fisicx
Intellectual property: What we can learn from Chinese LEGO copy LEPIN - @FrazerBye
Nothing worth having is free - except software - @The Byre

We're looking for members that have been involved with the community for some time (minimum of 100 comments). The articles should provide advice that answers a specific question, ideally one that's common in the forum. In terms of the process, if you're keen to be involved please PM me a short synopsis of what you want to write about and we can take it from there (please don't send finished articles!).

To answer a few of the questions that have been raised about this process previously:
    • Contributed posts get around 500 page views, with the best ones getting nearer 1,000
    • Members take part in this process as a marketing/ branding exercise or because they want to give more to the community - we don't pay contributors
    • We limit contributors to existing members that run small businesses
    • We'll consider any subject that could reasonably be discussed in the forum, but the focus is always on practical advice
    • We're looking at everyone's reputation on the forum and what they've posted before going ahead with an article
    • We include a paragraph explaining who the author is and what their business offers, with a link back to their homepage
    • These articles appear in the left-hand pane of the site, not the blog section
Looking forward to hearing from you!

    Thanks,

    Chris
