Do you have to register with UK Business Directory Index?

I receive on average two letters a week from this company stating that I HAVE to ring them to get my UK listing correct. As I am registered with company's house, Yell, and THompson and a variety of other directories I have pretty much ignored this, yet the letters are getting more and more persistent! Do I have to register with this company or are they overly persistent salesmen?

No you do not and the directory listing is a load of rubbish anyway.

I've seen a number of these sent to my clients and I have advised them all to just keep putting it in the wonderful round filing device.

I would think that as long as your Companies House details are accurate there is no need to worry. It does sound as though the letters are just a sales ploy. Have you contacted the company to verify who they are?

No I havent contacted the company nor do I ever intend to. I thought that it all sounded wrong as neither myself nor my secretary have ever come across this, and we tend to find out most business rules as we incorporate companies regularly. Just wondered if there was something we'd missed as the letters where coming with such regularity and increasing urgency!!! Thanks will definitely file them all in the large cylindrical object under my desk!
