Hi I don't but a good friend of mine runs an ECO lighting company, they replace existing light bulbs in commercial premises with new ECO friendly LED ones and save business £000's pounds in the process as well as proactively helping them to improve their carbon footprint. They can also help companies to secure 0% loans from The Carbon Trust saving them any initial outlay. I can pass you a link to their website if you like.

We have a sustainability development panel as part of our company structure, being a part of a small and somewhat isolated community means that we have some interesting challenges.

If the global economy (ie price of oil) goes the way that some predict then these sustainability issues could well become widespread, our work in the area is all about finding solutions that are self funding and scalable.

Everything from renewable energy to waste management, and everything in between including eco-tourism.

we are trying to make duvets in Britain from 100% natural organic fibres.
We're having real trouble trying to source downproof organic cotton.
As a start up business we can't afford to buy 1000's of metres of cotton direct from source.

Sounds like you have a good network for LED lamps and air purifiers already set up!

Have you also thought about how the business as a whole is functioning in a green way? It is more than just the office environment itself, it covers all aspects of the business process; for examples, supply chain management, packaging, how your employees come and go from work etc.

It's about a whole mind set and often a change in business process from the very top to the grass roots of the company.

We make an effort to turn out lights, switch off pcs and everything else at the wall when not in use as well as recycle paper, plastic and anything else we can think off. We are going to do an experiement soon to work out how much we have saved since this has been going on so will keep you posted. You'd be amazed at how many businesses leave pc's and lights on all night!

I distribute eco friendly & organic products to households & small businesses. From degradable rubbish sacks to safe beauty products. I'm finding that people would like to "go green", but either don't know where to start or think it will cost them more than high street or supermarket products.

Is this for the filling, or the outer sheets? You could consider organic wool for the filling. Wool which isn't suitable for spinning in to yarn is very cheap (some friends of mine have piles of the stuff), in fact the value is so low it isn't even worth processing.

What do you mean by green marketing, as opposed to the entire company being "green" in how it operates? I'm a bit confused!

I run a green business.

We refurbish and sell ex lease IT hardware back into businesses. Reduces the carbon footprint of the equipment they are using substantially.

We also recycle the unusable equipment back into reprocessing for manufacture into other items without the need for production of raw materials from source.

Pretty green I think!
