There are so many networking organisations. The only one that i found to be of great beneit because of its structure was the BNI

The only "unique" thing is that we are the only one in Aboyne!!

Where do you actually live "strawb"?

The fact is that without travelling into Aberdeen (which is 3/4 hour drive one way) there are very few opportunities for local businesses to meet up and discuss ideas, swap advice and business.

We are not trying to be "unique" - there is no financial benefit to us setting this up but the fact that it would be good to meet up with similar people.

Personally I have a very successful design business with most of my work being non local.

Running your own business can be isolating sometimes and the whole idea is there is a whole network of small businesses feeling similar out there - those who are not interested need not come! not rocket science!

    Hi

I forgot to add - it is really only aimed at local Deeside businesses.

If you are "strawb" please feel free to come along!

    Joanne,

Good luck with launching your networking event (from one organiser to another).

You may like to put your details on two websites which people can visit to find out about you. And they are free for a year.

    www.findnetworkingevents.co.uk and www.whatsoncentral.co.uk

    Hope it's useful

    Kind regards

    Dear All

We had our 1st Deeside Networking Event yesterday and it was a good turnout and success!

Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves - the whole theme of the event was "informal but lightly structured".

Next event is at The Boat Aboyne, 10 am 29 October 2008 - all welcome!
