I've decided to quit from my current job as it involves working weekends and I'm hoping to start my own painting and decorating business and would appreciate any helpful ideas on the best way to gain new clients. I have been painting & decorating for my family and friends for years and they all said that I had done a great job. Should I advertise locally for new clients or contact local builders, etc?
Why not try a simple small self printed leaflet, say A5/6, try dropping say 500 and see how the response goes. Average is 1-2%. Facebook or local online advertising should also help. People are always looking for decorators.
