Simply put anyone making unsolicited sales calls to phone numbers which have previously registered with the corporate telephone preferance service potentially can be fines £5000.00.
However, I do not see the information commisioners office being effective at stopping this and I believe the rast majority of companies choose to ignor this regulation and call numbers whether they are on the list or not.
It would be great to hear what people think.
For my part I am a square. I cheak my data every 28 days and remove all those that I am unable to call due to them being on the list and where I have not previous relationship.
