Hi,

I'm in the process of leasing an industrial unit. I need to put in 2 office spaces and male and female toilet block with approx 8 toilets in each. I'm just wondering what sort of cost I'd be looking at to construct the actual rooms themselves?

Does your lease allow this change?

Will you need planning permission?

Will your rateable value increase?

Then there is the specific construction costs - based on your brief description, no one could give a guess as you do not mention construction type, sizes, existing utilities etc.

Apologies,

Yes the lease allows changes.
No planning permission will be needed
The rateable value will stay the same.

The office size would be approx 600 sq ft each (13ft x 46ft). I'd be looking to just stud work/plasterboard for the walls as they need to be "temporary" to remove them at the end of the lease. They don't necessarily need to have a door it just needs to be separate rooms from the rest of the warehouse. Electrical points would need to be put in to each room, probably 3 to 4 sockets in each and lighting as well.

Currently there is access to mains water but no plumbing etc for the toilets.

Sounds like your toilet provision is 50:50 male:female?

Maybe I’ve misread you, but NB ratio of provision needed is not 50:50. A good summary here:
