I'm doing the return to Companies House (first time) using the gov.uk CH & HMRC joint filing. I have a micro-entity ltd company. It is very micro, just me.

On the P&L account to CH - do I include directors' remuneration (£4000) as an expense? I know I have to include it in the HMRC detailed P&L account, but I have to submit this first.

You have to include all your expenses on the Companies House submission, even those that you need to add back to get the taxable profit. HMRC expect to able to reconcile the Companies House submission to the tax submission.

Thank you. I thought that was the case but my partner disagreed with me, so he is happy now you have confirmed.
