All,

Some of you may have seen my post last week in the "introduction" section of the Forum, if not let me explain a bit about my proposal....

My idea runs along basic lines of running a commuter service from Durham Tees Valley Airport to London (via southend) and a service to Scotland via Prestwick.

The USP of the service - to the South West at least - is from airport to London would be sub 2hrs (vs a 2.5 - 3hr train journey) The cost of tickets would be pitched at between £125 - £135 inc train transfers(similar train tickets run from £130). The plan would be to run a service in the early morining and a return service in late evening to make day travel to the capital a real option without having to spend more time than needed away from the office.

There would be scope (I believe, and through suggestions in my last post) that services to underserved Scandanavian destinations may be an option as is expansion into Northern Europe from DTV or Southend,

My qustion is then, with this info in mind what level of interest in the service there would be, is my pricing sesnible (to BE each flight would need arounf 80% load ((15/19 seats)) and what pull factors would make you choose to fly from Newcastle to London Heathrow instead of use a more local service?

.......and on a slightly different slant thoughts on financing options/partners

Thanks in advance

Rich
