Cancellation of payment following delivery of goods

I've just found out that a payment made by paypal has been cancelled.

I've delivered the goods already over a week ago. Today I found out that they've made a cancellation via paypal.

This is how I've responded:

I am writing further to your recent transaction made for 3 card games from Loop Card Games.

I noticed that you have made a cancellation to your paying arrangement without notice to Loop Cards Publishing Ltd.

If this is an error then please rectify as soon as possible. If you have any queries about the original order then you must return them in saleable condition before we can agree upon a refund.

I must stress that Loop Cards Publishing Ltd take debts to its business very seriously and should I not hear from you within 24hours then our debt collecting agency may contact you very shortly on behalf of us.

What else could I do?

The amount is only short of £20. But I cannot afford to have people cancelling like this when they buy through paypal. What advice to people here have if they've encountered a similar problem?

I thought that PayPal operated an arbitration service. Have you responded to the PayPal request for information about this transaction?

 

Yes, I would use PayPal's dispute service. I can testify that it is very good.

Me and Mr PT recently bought an item on eBay using PayPal. The item never arrived and the seller told us lies about when it had been posted and even supplied a fake tracking number for the royal mail. So we went to PayPal arbitration and they refunded us and found in our favour. It took about 3 weeks while they investigated and adjudicated. I was very happy with the outcome. It was quick and fair.

If you are a seller using PayPal, you have as much protection as a buyer.

In my experience, the protection for sellers is only in theory - PayPal's rules for seller protection are so strict any normal company cannot comply with them 100%. You are only protected if you send to the buyers CONFIRMED address by a trackable service.

Its worth checking if this does apply to your transaction, but PayPal do tend to favour the buyer at all times.
