Can you save an Excel doc in another format?

Just wondered if you can save an excel document in another format as I have received an attachment in excel but I don't have it, so can't open it.

If its possible, anyone fancy converting it for me?? :? :?

What format would you like it in? CSV is an alternative but you need a spreadsheet progrma to open it.

If you just want to get at the contents then send ot over to me and I'll send it back as a word doc duane at keyone.co.uk

You can download a viewer for Excel here

But you won't be able to edit anything.

Alternatively download and install OpenOffice, follow the link in my sig, and then you can not only read the file, but work with it. All for nothing.

Excel files can be saved as text or CSV, but it's very hard to do anything useful, unless it is a very simple table.
