We have newly opened a wallpaper/paint shop and we are looking for pin & chip terminals.
I'm in the process of going through some quotes but not too sure what I should be looking for.
Obviously cheaper the better with no hidden charges.

    I have quotes from

    Streamline
    Cardsave
    Payment Sense
    Seymour Direct
    First payment merchant
    Retail Merchant Services

What are people's views on using any of these companies?
    Regards

Then you need to set up a merchant account first and they will suggest appropriate Payment providers - they are 2 different things. Most of the above work with First data, who used to be Lloyds cardnet. Give them a call, I have used them for years and their terms are ok and certainly not the highest

Avoid the latter, what the salesmen tell you and what is actually in the small print is not the same thing.

We use WorldPay now on a higher percentage rate but the terminal hire is free and there are no hidden costs or lies (in fact I set it up online, no salesmen and their commisions to pay for).
