Does anyone have any experience of using cafepress? a friend of mine is a t-shirt designer and wants to create a shop on there to try and sell some of them and put his designs on other items, any advice etc..?

It is a nice idea, but like Amazon associates don't expect an income stream of any size. Not a bad way of cheap showcasing.

I've had my store open for three months and not had a single sale either, so make your own mind up! The link gets click throughs from my site though and as Dawq says it's a good way of showcasing your products.

I used it a while back for some t shirts for a newsgroup I belong to. Can't say I was too impressed by the finished products - the printing looked a bit rough and washed out. The colours seemed awfully dull. And they still owe me $49 in commission, despite repeated reminders.

^ Agreed - their quality control on printing is simply awful...
