Business Insurance - who to go with?

Hi all,

I'm in the process of setting up a small retail establishment and currently researching Business Insurance providers to provide cover for building, contents, public liability etc.

Can anyone recommend a good provider that offers comprehensive cover?

Appreciate the help.

Find a local broker to you on www.biba.org.uk

Not all about price - a broker will research a number of options for you unlike direct insurers who only have 1 product and will not give you advice!

Cheapest for us at the moment was the Post Office- yes, I didn't know they do Business Insurance either, but they do

Not really Post Office - I think its done by Heath Lambert (now Gallagher Heath) who are a big global broker.

We used to use the NFU until we had a break in and the rep advised us to "take it on the chin" - tw4t !

I have to configure a wagetype for retail voucher (flex wagetype)

Scenario goes like this:

Change in dispatch date of retail vouchers from monthly to quarterly. The dispatch dates will change to four dates within the months of January, April, July and October. Upon these dispatch dates an employee will receive their vouchers for the three months of that quarter, for example Januarys dispatch of vouchers will equate to January, February and March’s vouchers.

The new dispatch date will also lead to the possibility of clawbacks being required for leavers. This would occur if an employee is sent the three months worth of vouchers and then subsequently leaves before payment is taken from their salary.
