Hey I've just started a new business (private limited) where we sell goods online. Basically when it comes to business bank accounts I'm really in the dark with it.

My business has little overheads and we'd probably selling about 100 items a month, with turnover probably at £1000 max per month. We aren't looking for any loans or investors.

So I was hoping I could get some advice/reccomendations on this. i.e. what I should look for?

All the UK banks are pretty rubbish and it can be very localised. My local Nat West branch is in my view very good for small businesses, the manager has a sensible workload and can answer my queries. 13 miles away things are very different - the small business guy is totally overloaded and I generally advise clients to go with HSBC who are better in that location.

You want a person - not on 0845 number - in my view. Someone you can build a history with.

To open an account you'll need your share cert. and proof of ID, they'll check the Companies house register on your company.
