Hi,

I'm in the process of starting up a new UK business however i could use some advice re business bank accounts.

So basically i will be purchasing some goods from China for around $1,500 of which will be paid in three singular t/t payments in different time periods.

So i'm just trying to find what my best cost effective options are to make payment, from what i've been advised there isn't much point in looking at Forex quotes for this small amount of money and that it would be best to just go with a banks rate.

I've seen the Halifax would allow me to make intl payments in $ for a low £7 fee per transaction then converted at their current exchange rate (around 1.46 i believe) which seems pritty good however the account type for this is 'personal'

I wonder is there any business bank accounts which will offer me similar fees to this? i've tried going onto other banks business pages sites but i just cant find out much about making intl payments & their rates with a business account.

Any help you could give would be fantastic :)

Cheers,

Our Irish subsidiary has a tie-in with Transfermate. I've not used their service myself, but I've heard some positive comments about them.

For personal transactions I've used Moneybookers and I'm a very happy customer. Not sure if they do business transactions as well though.
