Hi Folks

I recently was successful in taking a client to court, we ended up in county court. I was awarded judgement and the defendant had to pay money owed on the project less a small amount for the work they would not let us complete.

We guarantee a part of our work, but my query is they were found in breach of contract, do we still have to issue guarantees?

There was no guidance from the judge in his judgement, they also had other contractors in after we were on site

thanks

My guess is that you still have to guarantee the work you have done. However, if someone else has come in and interfered with that work, then you cannot be held responsible for any errors. A grey area.
