boxes....

We've tried many packaging companies. You either get good quality at high prices or bad quality at cheap prices with most. With some of the boxes we have had in the past, they were so badly made they just would not close properly. Then there's the matter of the packing tape not sticking because of the cheap board they have used. We now use Lightning Packaging. Good quality at good prices.

I found a good number of box sellers on eBay many of which were selling the same things in their own online stores at a higher price. With a lot of packaging unless your buying in silly quantities it can be really expensive.

Take PIP boxes for example- It worked out unless i bought at least thousand of them it was cheaper to buy a a hundred 7x5x5 boxes and pay small packet rate rather than the PIP box which got the cheaper large letter postage rate.

I'm also a fan of Eco tape over packaging tape. It might not be recyclable but at least it will break down over time and be less hazardous to the environment.

There is a great call for display boxes in the bead/handmade jewellery business, but I find the same thing. I don't want to stock too larger amounts (as I have no space) and the smaller quaitities are too expensive for the customers.

Retif in Enfield do some nice pieces and also do packaging and such.
