Billing customers?

"instant payment is made through paypal on time of booking". These types of companies accept payments manually as opposed to allowing customers to pay via a checkout. My question is how would these companies make sure the person / people paying, are providing the correct e-mail address to be billed? Views, experiences welcome.

Not quite sure what your query is, but I will have a stab at my interpretation.

Paypal does indeed link an email address directly to one of it's accounts. It is in effect a unique identifier very much like a unique account number, based on the premise that no two email addresses are identical. You can have more than one email address linked into the one single paypal account.

A paypal account always has the contact address of the account holder and if it is a verified member, details of a credit/debit card and/or bank account details.

I have used paypal for over 8 years and never once had a transaction go astray, either as a seller or buyer.
